The Arab Community Centre of Toronto through the Chronicle of passage project, is promoting intergeneration dialogue and to educating youth about both the Canadian culture as well as their individual culture, through the initiated a pilot project where youth and seniors were connected to establish the intergeneration dialogue and for seniors to share their life and immigration experiences.
As part of the requested funds, the Arab Community Centre of Toronto is hoping to maintain the project as it has proven great success among youth in developing their leadership skills as well in their understanding of self-identity and the larger Canadian society and it re-built their sense of belonging. The organization understands that for young people, leadership development meets a number of needs, including opportunities for relationships with caring adults, peer group support, and meaningful engagement in community and civic life.
The Arab Community Centre of Toronto is proud to present the "Chronicle of Passage" website where you can enjoy many stories about Arab immigration to Canada.
